ABOUT US

OUR FOUNDING

The Jared Mansfield Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was organized on March 8, 1919.  Twenty-eight ladies became charter members with Agnes Long (Mrs. H. L.) Creveling as the first chapter regent.

OUR NAMESAKE

Our chapter is named for Jared Mansfield (1759-1830) of Connecticut, who served as the United States Surveyor General of Ohio and the Northwest Territory.  He is the namesake to our county seat, the city of Mansfield, Ohio.

OUR MEETINGS

Our regular chapter meetings are typically held on the first Friday of the month.

Our September meeting occurs during Constitution Week, September 17-23, and our June meeting takes place on the Friday nearest Flag Day.
